Grace Redding on Cyber Security Solutions at Regan Technologies
We are excited to announce that Grace Redding came on board to launch Regan Technologies’ new Small Business Development and Cyber Security Division in the Fall and in the coming months will be sharing insights and best practices on how to prevent cyber-attacks in the government space on our upcoming Blog Post.
At Regan Technologies, we are excited to build this new cybersecurity division, leveraging our service-disabled veteran-owned small business mindset to be able to serve the missions and issues and security that the government faces.
Grace stated during her interview, “I believe that the work I do is super meaningful because, simply put, security is hard, hacking is easy, and that’s the issue that we face today. But when supporting the federal government in particular and supporting these missions, we’re talking about the Department of Veterans Affairs that supports our veterans who put their lives on the line. So, I want to make sure that my role in helping to advise from a security perspective is protecting the data, the information that we hold of our veterans, and making sure security is embedded in the government systems that we serve the general public and veterans in general. From a cyber perspective, it’s important for me and our team.”
Regan works with several different agencies from several different levels. Grace believes that basically, if we can help to identify a security risk or issue before they know they are vulnerable then we can help by looking into the future and stopping a problem before it exists.
Grace also emphasized the following, “I genuinely believe that the perspective of veterans in this field is extremely important. We’re defending from real cyber threats, most of these coming from foreign countries or people who are trying to exploit the government, just like a real battle, cyber war is very imminent. And having veterans in this field who can lend that expertise on how to mobilize, how to quickly triage, how to come up with a plan, is I think the most lateral field that you can think of when we talk about this. And with their perspectives that we share every single day, we can be stronger against fighting cyber-attacks.”
Regan Technologies mission will be using all our knowledge, all of our experience, and then continuously innovating, continuously changing, continuously researching, and expanding our education to be able to meet these threats and look towards the future for a safer government.
